Thank you for your interest in completing your practicum at Burn Bright Counselling. We are accepting applications for students to start in Fall 2025. 

At Burn Bright Counselling, our Counselling Interns provide counselling support over a 6-8 month minimum period of time. This program offers clients an opportunity to access much needed support at a reduced rate and offers our Interns the opportunity to provide queer affirming counselling with Clinical Supervision.

You will be supervised under one of our registered clinical team to complete your required counselling experience to obtain your degree and will see a range of clients within the scope of your practice.

As a part of the interns’ degree requirements and your clinical supervision, you will be receiving direct feedback from your supervisor during your internship. In order to provide the highest quality of feedback and as per degree requirements, Interns are required to record (video or audio) some of their sessions. These recordings are only viewed by the Intern and their Clinical Supervisor. All recordings are stored and kept within privacy laws and are destroyed after supervision is complete.

Our Counselling Intern Fees: $40-$60 + GST Sliding Scale, with 100% of this going to Burn Bright Counselling.
